5pm - Harry Burks with special guest Mojoe
Harry got his start in the folk rock scene, performing solo acoustic shows since his years in Nashville. He plays a broad set of acoustic tunes, from standards and folk rock to modern country, and tunes his performance to the client and audience, often taking requests. He currently plays in Solo/Duo/Trio formats at many wineries, as well as Santana Row, along with numerous casuals and private events in the South Bay. Harry is the also lead singer for the award-winning Bay Area band, The Megatones.
Joining Harry will be KPIG DJ Mojoe (Joe Bac) who is also the guitar player in the Shady Rest Band. Harry and Joe formed the Megatones in the late 80’s and since have performed various acoustic guitar shows over the years. You can expect great vocals and guitar playing to many recognizable hits from these two fine musicians.
6:30pm - Shady Rest Band
The Shady Rest Band is named after The Shady Rest Hotel from the 60's TV sitcom Pettycoat Junction. When our band first began, it was just Cheryl and Joe as a duo. For our first gig, we didn't have a band name so we just called ourselves Cheryl Joe. But soon, we started adding members and gave them "Joe" after their first name. In Pettycoat Junction, a main character was Uncle Joe who had three nieces named Billy Jo, Bobbie Jo, and Betty Jo. So one day at band rehearsal, we were laughing about the connection to the TV show, someone said, "Cheryl Joe and The Shady Rest". Well we just settled on "The Shady Rest Band". So when you hear reference to the Hooterville Cannonball train, the hotel, or any of the characters, it's from the TV show Pettycoat Junction.
Trivia on Tap is back! New day, new questions, same great experience! Join Jenn and Victor every 1st and 3rd Thursday 6:30-8pm at Steel Bonnet Brewing Company for a rollicking good time. Participants can form teams of up to 6 people and will be asked 30 questions on a variety of different topics.
When he’s not fronting Santa Cruz band Wolf Jett Jones stays true to his folk, soul and country blues roots. Born in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains, his voice is smooth as Tennessee whiskey, while his guitar pickin’ cuts from Chet Atkins to Keith Richards in no time.
As versatile a musician as you will find, Jones is able to seamlessly intertwine classic and obscure covers with seemingly timeless originals. He can instinctively win over any audience under any circumstances, and he’s proven it time and again, whether busking the streets of Spain, rocking clubs in major cities, or playing hushed cafes and house concerts in the tiniest of towns… his repertoire is bottomless!
Currently, Jones performs with his vintage hollowbody through a small tube amp. No gimmicks or tricks, just soulful vocals and fingerpicked guitar with engrossing stories for good measure. He has recently opened for a wide range of artists, including Allen Stone, Fruition, Cedric Burnside, Uncle Lucius, The White Buffalo, Wayne “The Train” Hancock, Arcadian Wild, Brett Dennen, Coco Montoya, Waylon Payne and worked with KC Turner Presents and Ineffable Music. He is a regular at local venues Felton Music Hall and Moe’s Alley.

Gary Blackburn Band based in Santa Cruz, CA., and the Monterey Bay brings their high energy roots rock based in the Rock, Country, Blues genres. The Gary Blackburn Band currently performs at music venues up and down the Central Coast and Bay Area, blending old school with contemporary, the band will weave a musical journey up on the stage, and you will be dancing! Fronted by Santa Cruz local, and celebrated veteran singer songwriter, Gary Blackburn, the band performs familiar rocking covers along with a few of Gary’s originals. You can hear one of Gary’s country tunes, “Carolina” on KPIG 107.5 Freedom, California. With Gary on guitar and lead vocals, the band also features, Sean Woodward, lead guitar, mandolin, harmony vocals, Kevin Taylor, keyboards, harmony vocals, Dan Waller, bass, harmony vocals, and Tom Duncan, drums. The Gary Blackburn Band brings it y’all, come have some fun!
