Santa Cruz-based Americana band Flypaper Blues is straight out of your grandfather's rifle barrel. A little whiskey, coffee grinds, 2-in-1 oil, and a whole lot of fiddle, driving drums, and bass rhythms. This 100% homegrown, local band brings influences from traditional bluegrass, post-punk, ragtime, to alt-country genres. Songwriting is personal, comedic, and inspired by the existential need to transcend the hazards and pitfalls of modern life with soul-nourishing music. 5-7pm in the beer garden!
Gary Blackburn, Santa Cruz, California local, and Central Coast veteran singer songwriter, brings together his smooth vocals, and stylized guitar picking to his original compositions in the Country, Rock, Folk, Blues genres. Blending old school with contemporary, Gary will weave a memorable musical performance of songs that tell stories of love, forgiveness, and the paths that we choose. Gary performs some of his original tunes that include songs off his CD,” Streak of Gray”, and “Daddy’s Boy”. His original songs have been aired on Santa Cruz County radio stations, KPIG 107.5 FM, KSQD 90.7 FM, and KBCZ 89.3 FM, and select radio stations in the Northwest, all the way to Maine. With a well-rounded repertoire, Gary will show both his versatile soft folk blues side along with his high energy rock side, mixing in some great familiar cover tunes to his original songs. Gary has been performing up and down the Central Coast, and the Bay Area at many various music venues for many years now, and Gary is ready to perform for y’all in what he likes to call, “Americana with Attitude”. 6-8pm in the taproom.
Alecia Haselton is a Corralitos-based musician whose songs blend sincerity, playfulness, and emotional depth. Her voice is reminiscent of Jewel, with a splash of The Cranberries and Alanis Morissette. She looks forward to playing Steel Bonnet for the first time, returning to her hometown recently after 4 years of playing music professionally in Nashville. 5-7pm in the taproom.
